The New Deadwardians is the final comic book in Vertigo’s cannon of new releases that sprung forth throughout the month of March, and personally I think Vertigo saved the best for last. Mr. Suttle has his help get the police, while he slays the zombie. His other maid has been bitten by the Restless and she is panicked that she might succumb or die before she is inoculated by “The Cure.” The Cure is her initiation into the land of the Young and acts as the plot device that transforms a human into a vampire, or acts as the repressor for the vampires’ basic, carnal instincts. Most of the vampires (including Mr. Suttle) keep their teeth shaved down and try to resist their tendencies.
