Synopsis

When a bomb destroyed Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, in December 1988, 270 lives were ended in one horrific moment, but a heartbreaking new reality for thousands of relatives had also begun. Through more than two decades of a tireless campaign for the truth, the victim families found their voice in the media, demanded changes of a U.S. government that turned its back on them, bankrupted Pan Am, and received justice with a conviction of a Libyan spy, only to see it tossed aside for oil, at the behest of brutal dictator Muammar Gaddafi. But now, 23 years after this seminal terrorist crime, victims of the Lockerbie bombing finally saw justice for Muammar Gaddafi delivered from an unlikely source - the oppressed Libyan people.
