Now that all of the buzz has started to flame out about DC’s complete restructuring of its entire lineup I have decided to throw in my two cents, a dollar, and a couple of opinions for good measure. Many of my fellow comics geeks are definitely torn between DC’s decision to start fresh, especially with some of the longer running series. I am not going to lie I am definitely saddened by the restarting of the Action, Detective, Superman, and Batman comics. It feels as if DC is tearing down a piece of history. Nevertheless, I am optimistic that this will be a good transition and that the shake up will bring back some characters and pizzazz to the overall comic scene. It seems as if there will be a little something for everyone, so if you have not already, check out the complete list of number ones from Bleeding Cool. Here at the Martian I will be listing a couple of the unique or more interesting series that caught my eye and will be soon adding to my subscription service at Merlyn’s.

These are just a couple of the more interesting series that I’ll most-likely be picking up once they release. The art provided are potential covers or released artwork. Also, I would like to mention that many of the regular comics will be re-released as well, and by “regular” I mean the icons of the industry such as Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Justice League,Action Comics, Detective Comics, and so on. Hopefully if you are checking this out and have not read much about DC’s relaunch check out Bleeding Cool for all of your online references and Merlyn’s for all of your one-on-one references, which is located in downtown Spokane on Main Street.
